Description
McIntosh Reconditioning and Repair By Audio Doctor Products manufactured by McIntosh Labs are designed to provide a lifetime of enjoyment, and malfunctions are rare. However, when a unit develops an anomaly, your equipment deserves the experience and expertise of Audio Doctor. With over 30 years experience repairing McIntosh electronics, I can restore your unit to its original factory specifications, and document the results. Documentation of factory specifications is done with an Audio Precision ATS-1, and copies are returned with the repaired unit. You will have the exact distortion, power output, and s/n specs of your unit. In addition, many older units can benefit sonically from replacing capacitors with newer, more exotic devices that were simply not available at the time the equipment was manufactured. I will be happy to discuss this option with you. The cost of the comprehensive evaluation of your unit is $50.00. which will be deducted from any repairs performed. Upon completion of the evaluation, usually on the same day received, I will contact you with my findings and recommendations, and time necessary to complete the work. If your unit is under factory warranty, I can provide that service also. Contact me for more information. Please email or phone me with a detailed description of the problem with your unit, being as specific as possible. At that time, you will be provided with shipping information and an RA number. Shipping: Units are shipped to me via FedEx or UPS, and returned in a like manner. I also do local (Phoenix area) pickups and deliveries, and have local dropoff available. Units should be packed securely, preferably in the original factory cartons, and insured for replacement cost. Shippers will not honor damage claims on improperly packaged equipment, so it is important to do this properly. Factory original cartons are available for most equipment if needed.
